LASIK is corrective surgery to a very delicate part of the eye. Millions of people have had LASIK surgery to correct their vision, many with great success. But everyone is not a good candidate for the surgery.

It’s been for 25 years and it works! It corrects the vision view. Around 96% of patients will have their desired vision after LASIK. An enhancement can further increase this number. Vision is corrected nearly by the day after and no bandages or stitches required.

Adjustments can be made years after to correct vision if vision changes while you age and if mandatory. After having LASIK, most patients have a dramatic reduction in eyeglass or contact lens dependence and many patients no longer need them at all.

During LASIK. Immediately before your LASIK surgery, numbing eye drops are applied to your eye to prevent any discomfort during the procedure. Your doctor may also give you some medication to help you relax.

Immediately after LASIK. Upon completion of your LASIK surgery, your surgeon will have you rest for a bit. You may feel a temporary burning or itching sensation immediately following the procedure.

LASIK surgery has a good track record. Complications that result in a loss of vision are rare, and most people are satisfied with the results. Certain side effects, particularly dry eyes, and temporary visual disturbances, are fairly common. But these usually clear up after a few weeks or months, and very few people consider them to be a long-term problem.

Why wear glass?

To protect the eye in today’s digital world is important to properly protect your eyesight in order to ensure that it lasts a lifetime. Glasses not only protect your vision from digital screens, but they also keep dirt and dust from getting into your eyes. Furthermore, eyeglasses can also help protect your eyes from harmful UV rays.
